Richard Holsworth guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of Charles Thomlinson in the parish of Scarborough at about ten o’clock in the night on 2nd June 1756; and stealing therefrom a gold ring (valued at 20/-), a glass bottle (valued at 1d), one pint of Geneva (valued at 6d), a silver teaspoon (valued at 2/-), 6 pounds of bacon (valued at 2/-). 3 gold guineas and £4 in other money.  He was also indicted with the rape of Elizabeth Thomlinson on the same occasion, but not tried on that.
